2 – The building is connected to Houston’s elaborate and pragmatic Houston Downtown Tunnel System.
3 – Despite its name, JPMorgan Chase only occupies a small office on the first floor of the building. The rest of the building is occupied by myriad companies from across the world that wishes to do business in Houston.
4 – In 2008, when Hurricane Ike steamrolled through Galveston Bay, the winds managed to reach downtown Houston, causing significant damage to the JPMorgan Chase tower. Multiple windows were shattered, and as a result, many items within offices in the building were scattered about downtown Houston, forcing police to cordon off several sectors of the city due to debris.
5 – The sky lobby in the tower is located on the 60th floor. The lobby exists as both a free tourist attraction during work hours, as well as a transit point between the buildings upper floors.
